Tony Stopperan owns and operates House of John Productions, a Sarasota-based independent production company. He is a produced screenwriter, playwright and award-winning actor. He has produced two feature films in Sarasota and Manatee Counties that have gone onto screen at the Sarasota, Louisville, and Eugene Film Festivals. He is currently in post-production on the feature film “Paradise, FL.” His plays have premiered at Freedom Hall in Vancouver, BC, the Asolo Late Night Series, and in the Minneapolis Fringe Festival. Through his work with the Ringling College Studio Lab, he has worked directly with Sam Rockwell, Dylan McDermott, Aubrey Plaza, Roman Coppola, Richard Dreyfuss, and Paul Schiff, among others. He has been named to Observer Media Group’s 40 Under 40, The Heat Index by Sarasota Magazine, and was selected to the Gulf Coast Leadership Institute. He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA and holds an MFA from FSU/Asolo Conservatory.
